Thankful Thursdays: The Little Things
- by lexie
Lately I have found so much gratitude in the smaller things. That’s the beauty of gratitude – you don’t have to go far or search hard to find it. It is usually right in front of you. All you have to do is
stop long enough to be thankful for th
e little things.
Here are some snapshots of things I have been thankful for over the last 7 days…
Sol Bread.
I have a yeast intolerance, and finding a good yeast free bread that doesn’t crumble away to nothing before you get to take the first bite is like trying to find a needle in a haystack – almost impossible. I am yet to find a bread in the U.S I am 100% happy with. Last week Mum and I visited a local health food store that had so many different options of bread I could eat, I walked away with 4 loaves including pumpkin and pepita, multigrain, and two different fruit loaves. I have been yeast intolerant for 10 years now and have never had such a big selection of bread. This makes me SO happy!
Breakfast poolside. Green monster smoothie post-workout while catching up on blog reading. It’s what makes vacation that much better.
Viber: Free texting and calling (international included) to any other iPhone. A lifesaver when overseas.
O.P.I’s “Houston We Have a Purple”. Sometimes all it takes is a fresh coat of paint to bring a smile to a girl’s face!
Eating S’more’s on the Strand (beachfront). When I found out about my surprise trip home one of the first things I went out and bought were ingredients for s’more’s. In Australia we don’t have graham crackers or Hershey’s so, like with slow cooker liners, this is something else my Mum stocks up on whenever she can ![]()
